ABA Therapy with The Speech Tree

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based treatment approach to recognizing and changing behaviors. We take data on each child's behaviors, analyze behavior patterns, and work alongside parents to support independence and quality of life.

Our Approach to ABA Therapy

At The Speech Tree, we never take a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, we create treatment plans and programs that are tailored to your child and family's needs and goals. Your child's treatment plan may include a combination of the following:

  • Direct instruction, where we teach focused skills that are important to your family in a structured setting

  • Naturalistic instruction, where we follow your child's lead and embed learning into opportunities that naturally arise

  • Community training, where we work on skills and complete activities in different community settings

It is our goal to teach skills in the way that works best for your child. Our therapists are experts at promoting positive behaviors for success in home, school, and social activities.

How will ABA services help your child and family?

The Speech Tree is dedicated to helping your family thrive. Through a combination of skill-building and behavior support, we can help your child learn how to:

  • Play with others

  • Follow routines and directions

  • Cope with challenges

  • Independently complete tasks

  • Wait for something they want

  • Solve problems

  • Communicate to get needs met

  • Care for themselves (getting dressed, toileting, etc.)

  • Transition from one activity to another

  • & more

ABA Therapy looks different for every child. Contact us today to see how we can support the needs of your family.

Common benefits of ABA Therapy:

  • Fewer challenging behaviors. Say goodbye to tantrums, noncompliance, aggression, and throwing.

  • Greater Independence.  Your child will gain the skills they need for toileting, bathing, grooming, eating meals, and completing tasks on their own.

  • Positive social experiences. Community outings, play dates, and parties will be less stressful and more fun.

  • School readiness skills. Learning is easier once foundational skills like attending, sitting, waiting, and following directions are established.

These are only a few of the many benefits that your family may see from ABA services. Your BCBA and ABA therapist will focus on skills that are important to your family so that you can see growth in the areas that are most important to you.
