Growing Roots: Life Skills Group for Children Ages 7-18

life skills group for children graduated from aba therapy

Now offering a Summer 2024 Life Skills Program!

The Speech Tree welcomes a 5 week, life skills program, Growing Roots for this summer 2024! This is a great transitional program for children who have graduated out of ABA therapy and will benefit from learning life skills like independence, social-emotional skills, practical skills, and pre-vocational skills.

At Growing Roots, our heartfelt mission is to bring joy and limitless possibilities to individuals with disabilities. Through our program, we open doors to a world of community integrative experiences, kindling their spirits with the power of growth, learning, and boundless potential.

Here at The Speech Tree, we have quickly recognized the lack of multi-functional resources available in the community for individuals with disabilities. Three of our very own, Hayley Melinek MS, CCC-SLP, and Mikayla Schultz ABA Therapist and current graduate student for clinical mental health counseling, share a vision to provide resources that help your child flourish in various assets of life including emotional, social, and functional development.

Below are the groups offered of which each child will be placed in based on their abilities.

Group 1: Community Socialization & Integration

Individuals will come together with their peers and interact with various members of the community.

Group 2: Pre-Vocational Skills

Individuals will expand upon their community interactions in a more job-centric way.
